I have recently given ombré nails ago, after many failed attempts I managed to get a some what decent attempt. I used gelish colours and a make up sponge

How do you achieve this look, I've been trying additives with vinylux and it ends up looking a mess - would love to have nails looking this good

Also I have never attempted doing ombre affect! I'd love to have a go with gelish, just wondering if I do it with a sponge wouldn't you get it all over the finger? Which would be over exposure? X

Not sure if she means this.. but I use an old gel brush to blend mica powders together when I'm doing ombre.
I use mica powders over white gelish. Attached a pic
