I used a make up sponge, but with regular polish. I was terrible at first but it's just getting used to it and not over working it xx

I have recently given ombré nails ago, after many failed attempts I managed to get a some what decent attempt. I used gelish colours and a make up sponge :)

I find the easiest way to achieve ombre nails is with the cnd additives. They are so easy to use and so much quicker and neater than the sponge technique!

How do you achieve this look, I've been trying additives with vinylux and it ends up looking a mess - would love to have nails looking this good

Also I have never attempted doing ombre affect! I'd love to have a go with gelish, just wondering if I do it with a sponge wouldn't you get it all over the finger? Which would be over exposure? X

Not sure if she means this.. but I use an old gel brush to blend mica powders together when I'm doing ombre.
I use mica powders over white gelish. Attached a pic
