Ombre Colour Technique

Hi, I'm new here but I've got clients that are requesting hair colour that is dark at the roots and becomes light at the ends think SJP, Rachel Bilson, Dannii. (You get the point )
What's the best technique to use?

i wud utilize meche strips or foil if u dont have and smudge ur lighter shade to the desired length under ur root colour, that way u can control which shade is going where without it getting messy and also do gradual lightening the further down the head u go x

Ooo I'd like to know too! A colleague told me they put bleach on their mid-lengths and ends for 15 minutes and thats it...

I find balayage works best for the ombre look
