Hi ladies

Sorry me yet again, keeping you all busy tonight.

Last weekend I had a problem with my gun where it was spraying a bit of colour, stopping and then starting again.

I thoroughly cleaned my gun and it seemed a lot better but it still doesn't seem to be spraying right. When you spray down a bit of couch roll the right hand side of the stripe is coming out darker which is giving a streaky effect. And when I am spraying somebody, I am noticing that the solution seems to be going off towards the right a lot more, which would explain the streakiness.

Because of this I am using far more solution than I should be as I am worried that my client is going to come out uneven and streaky. I got down to using around 35ml but seem to be using near on 50ml now.

This is really making me lose my confidence and eating away at my profit.

Do you think that my needle could be damaged, as I can't understand what might be causing this.

Try taking off the disk that surrounds the pick up hose and see if that cures the problem

Hi Jackie, did you solve the problem?
have you taken a look at the spray pattern dial that the spray nozzle is set into. I wonder if its not set for vertical spraying, it may be just off center, worth a look. Jackie b

Hi Jackie,

When u clean ur gun, soak all components in hot soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly, then spray everything with a good dose of wd40. Fill d cup with hot water and spray your gun till empty.
If you live in an hard water area it cud b causing a build up that this cleaning should solve, but I would also defo make sure that the spray is in a vertical position as oppose to slightly off centre.

hope this helps

Jackie got a shiny new gun to play with

Yes, Collin very kindly sent me a new gun and all seems to be going well at the moment.

Collin did you test my gun back that I sent back and if so, did you find a problem with it?

Jackie

I know the problem has been successfully dealt with but just to tell peeps in may help someone in the future or prevent the same happening to them ........ that I had a problem with intermitent spraying (stoping & starting) and spoke to an engineer at Sienna (where I had bought my kit from) They sent me a new gun out and said that my problem lay in the feeder straw I had been removing it after each client to clean through and pushing too hard when replacing it. This caused the straw to slightly wear at the connecting end to the gun so it was not an air tight seal and was interrupting the pressure of air flow through the straw to draw the fluid from the cup.
