Has anyone done any of the beauty courses at the NSI Academy in Salford, Manchester? I am thinking of doing the facial course. Its a 4 day course over 4 consecutive weeks. I would be interested to know if anyone has any feedback or opinions on the quality of their training before I make my final decision!

Thanks in advance :)

Hi Hun,
Yes I have done many courses at NSI Salford, Mani, Pedi, Acrylic Foundation, Gel, Waxing, Spray Tanning, Make up, and more, but brain bit slow today.
I love the place, all the staff and educators are lovely, you have plenty of back up after your training too. They always give you contact numbers incase you have any problems.
The only course I was a bit disapointed in was the make up, and it was nothing to do with the educator.
1. I felt we should have all brought models, but instead we worked on each other, now if we had had models, all would have brought different age groups we could have swapped around to work on different ages of skin.
2. The kit was not the kit I wanted, so mine is still here unused, I would have preferred the course to have been a bit cheaper with no kit included with the option to buy their other make up range at a discount on the day. (Which is what they did when I did Mani & Pedi).
On the whole I say a big yes to NSI, you will really enjoy your course there. PM me if you want to know anything else.
Lotsa luv x   x

Haven't done the facial one with them,
but just wanted to let you know they have a training centre in Wakefield Anne which would be much closer for you,
they are very nice people

Thanks for the replies, sounds really encouraging. I did a pedicure course there last year and I must admit I enjoyed my day and they were really friendly.

Louise - I did get in touch with the one in Wakefield but their course is only 2 days although it was cheaper. But I am thinking that you may learn more with the 4 day course plus a kit for the case studies is also included using either Hive or Pharmagel products, they havn't decided as yet. Apparently they are overhauling the course. Not sure if a kit is included with the course at Wakefield.

Over the past 2 weeks or so I have looked at several places but NSI does seem for to offer the best value for money and is the longest short course, the ones I have come across most are 2 days only.
