Hello all,

just wanted some advice. Just started in this industry and have a room within a hair salon. I am a qualified nail tech, and have just completed a massage course. I am wanting to do pamper parties as my salon is slow at the moment and i am hoping this will drum up some salon biz. Any advice on what treatments to offer and prices to charge. I was thinking of shape & polish, arm, leg massage, mini back massage. Any ideas are most welcome.

hi

i offer choice of manicure, pedicure, facial, back neck and shoulder massage, makeover, - each treatment lasts 30 min i will do up to 4 people by myself if anymore then i split with another therapist

i also do spray tan parties as well usually about 4 or 5 people

if asked i dont mind adding in other treatments like eyebrow shape or nail art and just adapt the party - eg if having a manicure but they want nail art as well - i might do shape and polish and nail art and that way treatment still 30 mins each - it just depends on what the clients want really

I specialise mainly in pamper parties PM me if you want any more info,

Also may I point out that kids parties are extremely popular

Treatments I offer are:

mini mani/pedi/french mani
mini facial
Indian Head massage
back massage
buff and massage hands or feet
mini makeover
facials
spray tanning

Hope this helps

I charge £7 per 15 min mini treatment xx

Great stuff, i was thinking of charging £10 per head and doing a gold, silver and bronze system. e.g. bronze £10 per head 1 20 min treatment, silver £15 per head 2 15/20 min treatments and gold £20 per head 1 30 min treatment and one 15 min treatment. Not sure if this is the best way????

Whats the best way to advertise do you think? I was going to distribute a newsletter to my area and in the salon? any advice on this.

once again thanks for the other advice

On a note for pamper parties for kids, is it best to get a police check done on myself so i can show prospective clients?

hi dawn

currently you cant get a crb check if you are self employed or an individual - it has to be done by a company/employer

link for more info that might help if you need it
Criminal Records Bureau - Applicants

cant help much with advertising as most of mine are word of mouth - but i will be doing some soon - i was thinking of going to business parks in my area and leaving leaflets with the receptionists to distribute, leaflet drop in my local area and hopefully when i finish my website that will come up in search engines

re pricing - i charge £15.00 per person for 30 min treatment - but i like your idea - let me know how that goes for you

hope this helps - if you need any more info just send pm
