Hello and good morning! I have been doing some homework, for prices etc! and when I rang a shop, they told me if I had paraffin wax treatment, I would be unable to have any polish on, is this right?????
Thank geeks

Hi, no its not right, if you have a paraffin wax treatment, then all residue will need to be removed from the nail plate as per, with something like scrubfresh, so that the nail plate is squeaky clean! hth's xx

No i always polish as part of my deluxe manicure this includes a parafin wax treatment

I just remove any oils on the nail plate with polish remover before i start the polish i have never had any trouble and my clients polish lasts 10 - 14 days hths

I thought so! I always have done, but thought I was doing it wrong, we all live and learn!:)

I know of some places that don't polish as part of paraffin treatments purely because it's a nourishing treatment for the skin and nails. If the client wanted polish they would have to opt for either a regular pedi/mani or pay to have a re-varnish aswell. You can of course have polish on directly after the paraffin some places just choose to not to include it.
