I want to try the CND Performance Tips with Calgel.

I have the white ones and the natural ones, do I need to take the shine off them before applying the gel??

Anybody??? :cry::cry:

HI

Have you done any training at all in nails?

I don't mean to sound harsh but taking the shine off is a very basic step. Even if you use pre-etched tips you still need to give them a quick going over.

Gel will NOT stick to a shiney surface.

Calgel is a fab gel nice and strong, but you must prep properly whatever product you are using.

Hope this helps, check out some of the tutorials too, you should find a lot of helpful articles in there.

Thank Little Angel

Yes, I did think you were being a little harsh, but not to worry.

I am trained in Calgel and I have always used all of Calgel's products, including tips.

I was at one of the popits demos and watched Gigi using performance tips, granted not with gel but L&P.

I bought some and I am only now getting round to giving them a try.

Gigi said you didn't need to do anything to performance tips.

This is why I asked the question.

I would normaly always take the shine off the tips before applying Calgel, but I wasn't sure if it was necessary with the performance tips.

Thank you for you help.

Have you used performance tips yourself, if so, how have you found them with Calgel. :D

Yes i have used the performance tips they are very nice, always buff them first though. Yes they work great with calgel.

Have you tried sculpting with calgel? Its fab and much faster than tipping.

Hi Little Angel

Didn't offend, was just a little taken aback.

I am working on my sculpting.

I can do it, but it's not as good as I would like it to be.

Just need to keep practicing. :):)
