one of my clients has just rang to say she had soaked her nails off that were a couple of weeks old in fairy liquid and warm water ????? i had advised acetone should she need to soak off etc. one of her nails on her right hand has completely come off i advised gloves etc all the usual and gave her a care sheet after. she is a cleaner but asures me she wears gloves. i have looked up ONYCHOMADESIS or nail shedding . i advised her to see her gp there is no infection ,swelling, redness or pain and ideas anyone . xxxx thanks

A client should never be advised to soak off their own enhancements, they should be advised to have them removed professionally otherwise she runs the risk of permanent natural nail damage

It might be me being a bit slow, but just to confirm it's her natural nail that has come off? xx

What was on her nails...water and washing up liquid can't remove acrylic enhancements.

i know how she got em off is beyond me she must have pulled em off . yes it was her natural nail and i always advise they have them soaked off proffessionaly to avoid damage etc.
