Polish under Minx?

I bought the gold lace Minx and some bits are transparent (just a little more than i expected), so I was wondering would it last as long if I put a polish underneath?

Ur supposed to use shellac hun, I don't think polish is strong enough x

As long as the polish is 100% dry and you place the Minx correct the first time as removing to replace would remove the polish then give it a go.
As Minx is designed to be applied to a natural nail it doesn't really any strength under it.

Well i tried with polish and it seems fine i just left a gap on the sides for the minx to stick to.

Ive got pink opaque powder l&p on my nails so im thinking the minx will go nicely with it being transparent.. Should glaze and go over it be enough to seal it?
