Problem when soaking off acrylic

Hiya due to lockdown I have had to remove my own acrylics which I haven’t done before I soaked in acetone as my nail tech adviced to but now my nails have turned white and almost fluffy yuck! do you know why this is I’m worried it could be an infection

when I put the nail back into the acetone it goes clear very strange!
