Hi - wondering if anyone has any advice as I am having problems with my enamel.

I use a base coat (have tried both opi base coat and stickey by creative), then 2 coats of enamel (brand new opi parlez vous opi?) and one coat of air dry. I put this on at about 4pm today and by 8pm it is starting to peel from the free edge!

Have not had my nails anywhere near any chemicals so am puzzled!!
Any ideas why anyone?!!

Thanks in advance xx

Is the polish on natural nails or enhancements?

Which product is your top coat? Are you applying that a bit thick & when it dries it shrinks??? Stabbing in the dark here btw!

What do you do to your nails BEFORE you commence your base coat/enamel/top coat application?

As Bev says, what are you doing before application? Do you cleanse and dehydrate? What is your full procedure? Knowing this would help us get to the bottom of this issue.

Hi - thanks for your replies. My top coat is Creative Air Dry and I normally put it on fairly thinly. The problem is on my own nails at the moment and is my natural nails. (Hoping to correct this before I get any complaints!)

Before the painting begins I normally remove any old enamel with ezflow nail varnish remover and the use ezbond to dehydrate the nails!

So who knows?!!

Ok, I have EzFlow & Cnd training. But that does not make me an expert in enamel application!

If it were me though, I would perform a mini manicure - as in, cuticle remover, and remove all dead skin cells, gentle buff over with a kanga (240 grit), scrubfresh & then application of top coat, allow to dry for a few mins, 2 thin coats, capping the free edge, then i use either Super Shiney or 'Heat Dry' - used under my 40 watt table lamp for 3 mins - no probs.

Do you cap the free edge with the enamel & topcoat?

That could be it, will try that and see how I go!
Thanks for your reply x
