Problems with Salon System roller wax refills

The beauty therapist I work with has used this wax for years with no problems.
I was at Capital and had bought the last of their old stock and there was a therapist asking if there was any more of the old stock as she had bought the new ones last time and said it was rubbish.
I went to Capital a couple of weeks ago and they only had the new stock so I bought that. It looks the same except the lids are different.
My therapist hates it! She said the plastic is thicker and the wax comes out thicker and she said she is dreading doing eyebrows with it.
Luckily I had 5 packs of the old stock still so she is using that just for brows.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Also can someone recommend another wax? We tried the Salonserve roller wax cartridges and they were awful!

I bought some of the Hive Creme Roller Wax recently and find it quite good, I feel it has to be heated to a higher degree than the honey wax but still a safe temp for clients.

Might be worth a try
