Promoting intimate waxing

It's called Maidenhead Gossip Girls. 3 ladies set it up and women basically ask anything on there or recommend people. It's brilliant and I've literally had hundreds of intimate clients since my name started being mentioned in March. It's such a niche market, people do do intimate where I live but not really with hot wax and not very well. It's the sort of treatment clients want recommendations for rather than trying out different salons so it's great for me.

Oh I wish there was a gossip site where I am. Well done to you and thank you.

Ahh good!! 😊😊

What about if you put something like 'why not try getting intimately SophistiKated?' And then underneath put 'mobile beauty/salon in.... And website etc' so people know it's definitely beauty related and nothing naughty!

Then if the legs are on the front of the the tshirt, on your website you could do a value added offer - book in for intimate waxing and get a complimentary half leg wax (or something along those lines!)

Loving this idea - want you to get the tshirts printed ASAP so we can see how the campaign goes for you! Xxx

Thank you very much for this....so exciting. I think a hoodie or sweatshirt might be more appropriate for the oncoming colder months ahead.
It's very much a campaign in progress but I will keep you updated ;-)

Ok, I never post on here just read through posts but had to respond to this. I am another therapist in the area you are referring to & yes mgg is a great tool for using to get your name out there & ladies constantly have the opportunity to recommend therapists which I know having done Kim's training you have had a lot of response which is great but please don't slate other therapists just because they don't use the same technique. I trained in intimate waxing around 8 years ago, not done Kim's course (although been on my to do list for a couple of years, so I can refresh my skills & hopefully learn some new ones!) just chose to focus on other treatments, however, I use hot wax & know what I'm doing & my clients know I know what I'm doing so think your comment is unfair to other therapists & I really hope you don't tell clients that unless therapists have done Kim's training they are getting a bad treatment because I don't believe that's true. I agree there are girls offering intimate waxing without much experience or training which isn't good! & I am aware that the standard of Kim's training is worth it from all the reviews on here & know from other girls I've spoken with that have trained with her so looking forward to doing it myself but experience is also a factor.

I did not slate any other therapists, I don't actually know any other intimate waxing specialists in my area. I get lots of clients because of what I do, Kim's technique and using the best quality products. I don't make people come to me, other people do by recommending me because of treatments they've had. Not sure why you are attacking me for doing a good job!

By the way, when I said people doing it "not very well" I am only going by some terrible stories I've heard from clients not first hand experience. I think it's terrible that clients trust someone to wax them and one lady ended up with for example, burns so bad they had to go to hospital and another who had previously had laser and been waxed for years so not very hairy but said the pain was so bad she told the therapist to stop and she left covered in wax and had to remove it herself. Not good adverts for our job.

I didn't read it that cloughers was slating anyone at all. All she's said is that women don't tend to shop around for intimate waxing, and normally go off reccommendations and the facebook page has been brilliant for her in that respect. She certainly hasn't said that unless you're Kim Lawless trained, you're a rubbish therapist.

I wasn't 'attacking' you so sorry if that's how it came across. I simply picked up on the statement of 'nobody does intimate waxing, using hot wax or very well' so felt was a bit of an untrue, misleading & general statement. Which puts good & bad therapists under the same umbrella. Just don't think everyone promotes the treatment in the same way. I know of other girls that offer intimate waxing too with training & a couple that have done Kim's course, yes waxing isn't their specialist treatment but the do get a lot of waxing clients for doing it. I just wanted to point out that doesn't mean to say it's some thing they aren't good at which is how I read your comment. Yes there are some extreme cases of bad experiences which usually from an untrained therapist. If I've misunderstood your comment that's fine, no hard feelings, just wanted to clear up there are are girls that offer it in the area & not all bad! I'm glad that the group works well for you & you have a treatment you enjoy.

Sorry guys I didng get any notifications that people Had replied lol some fab ideas on here thank you very much!! Xxx

I've found our village's WI Facebook page and we get a village newsletter which gives me dates for meetings of WI, mums groups, Scout/Brownies etc (so mum's have an hour or two free!).

A bit of Facebook/Google stalking or talking to a friendly local who knows everyone (like some of my new neighbours!) may help :)

Like your style about talking to a local/neighbour who knows everyone... I have a few of those. I live in a lovely little cul-de-sac and I know a few that could spread the word.

I also have a little 2 year old daughter and was thinking of putting a poster up (If allowed) at our local children centres and maybe giving a tiny discount to mummies??
I know us mums love a good gossip and if word spreads...who knows?

Hi ladies... I offer intimate waxing and have my regulars who come every 4-5 weeks for playboys and Hollywoods. My problem is new intimate waxing clients...they book in for the treatment then just 24 hours before their appointment (our cancellation policy states 24 hrs) they cancel their appointment. Five newbies I've had now cancel at the last minute. What do you think about asking for a deposit? X
