Are there any Nail Technicians on here in the Austin TX area? I have a question for ya'll. Here's my situation:
I graduated Aesthetic school in Utah with 1200 hours, and that included spa manicures and pedicures, but no acrylics. I relocated to Austin TX last October and now I need two separate licenses to do facials and nails. I have my facialist license now, but I'm working on getting my nail tech license. The Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation told me that since I've already graduated with my hours, if I can pass the written and practical exams for nail techs they'll give me a nail license. I know everything there is to know about nails... except acrylic applications. That's all I need to learn before I take the practical. (I hope this is making sense) Are there any ways I can learn acrylics on my own? Give me your suggestions... Since I already put in 1200 hours of school, I'd rather not go back to school for 600 hours just to learn how to apply acrylics...
