I am currently using LCN products, which I love to bits although I have never liked the idea of filing ever since I first started doing nails in '06. As my distributer is no longer coming to my city (because he quit his job lol) I have been searching around online for a new product to use and this is when I came across BDI soak off gel. It has a very neat concept, I am very intruiged by the idea of soaking the gel off instead of constant filing every time a client comes in for a fill. I use minimum filing as is, but filing scares me in general. I was also concerned because it is porous will water and other day to day chemicals "soak" off this product after a while? Also I heard people saying that it yellows. why is this?
Other than that, I was wondering if I would be able to use the soak off gel over top of other products? such as colored gel from another company? or would this cause the nail not to soak off?
Thanks!

it will only soak off in product remover or acetone. as long as the correct aftercare is followed it will be fine until it is time for maintenance.

some soak off gels are susceptible to discolouration because of their porousity.they are also affected by bright uv light. this affects some brands more than others.

if you put a soak off gel over your current gels, then the soak off layer will soak off but the other stuff will still have to be filed to remove it.
