Quick Shellac question

iv just been reading threw threads on shellac and am really interested im i right in thinking you apply it just like a nail polish but cure it? i have emailed ss about an account as i usually get my cnd stuff from ellisons.
how is everyone getting on with it thats already using it? also do you charge much more than a normal mani for it?
