Radical French tips v Performance tips

Just a really quick question.

I'm going to order some Popits in the next day or so and after reading the tuturial and answers/questions, it's been recommended to use performance tips for P&W application.

I've recently bought some more Radical French tips, if i cut the contact area out of the Radical french tips before i applied them, would this be just the same as applying the Performance ones - as in strength etc..? I know it will take a bit more time, but i'd prefer to use these up before i buy more tips if the outcome is the same.

Hope that makes some sort of sense?

You can use Radical french tips with Popits, the Performance were recommended as you won't have to pre-tailor them and they are thinner.
