Raffle prize donations

Hi everyone
We are hosting a charity night in order to raise money for a charity who provide holidays and respite breaks for children living with cancer and their families.

As a way of raising money on the night, we are doing a raffle and I'm wondering has anybody previously approached any companies asking for raffle prizes and been successful?

I went on Facebook and searched for local artists and businesses, asking them to donate raffle prizes for my fundraiser.

It did help that I could bribe them with meeting elephants though! (yes, I've changed my username )

I also advertised their Facebook page/business at my event, which might be a more useful promise for you!

A lot of businesses have some allowances for what they can donate to charity. You can only ask! Good luck with it
