What are you actually wanting to do? Put the lace onto natural nails with polish? Put the lace onto or into enhancements?? It would help to know. Also it would help to know if you are a nail professional or not. If you would fill in your profile with some more details that would also help.

As i am new to the forums i am still getting used to things & the lingo, so im sorry if i offended with my post.
I have now filled in my profile but it did already state nail professional.

but anyway........

I would really like to apply Real lace to nail extentions using acrylic or gel as in encasing it etc. if anyone could offer any help/tips etc id be really grateful.

thanks xxx

You didn't offend anyone Jandee, i personally think geeg's post was a bit rude myself there are politer ways of putting things.

I don't think there are any video's on lace being applied or encased in acrylic or gel but try www.nailangel.co.uk for any other nail type videos.

If i find any i will let you know as i'd like to see one aswell.xx

Nuthin rude about Geeg's reply at all, general questions really.

This is a professional forum and helpful people like to know what level people are at, so then can give advice accordingly.

Sheesh, try eating a teaspoon of cement and harden up.:)

The difficult part apart applying lace is finding lace fine enough, so it doesn't build unnecessary thickness.
It has to be thin and flexible.

You could even cut it the same shape as a tip, then apply like a tip and encase/coat without having a base, it's all about imagination really, nail art and the use of different mediums is often about experimentation, that's what will make you unique.

You could always look on youtube for "real lace on nails" and see what comes up, then adjust the ideas accordingly.

Why would you think you offnded anyone? My post was not rude or even coming close to rude unless someone decided to read it as rude.

It helps to know if someone is a professional or just some member of the public wanting info ... plus although you ticked the nail pro box in your profile, there was no indication of how long you had been doing nails or with what. Anyone can tick a box saying they are a professional.

You know, it really helps those of us who give our time to this site to know these things. It helps us to help you more effectively which is what we want to do. There was absolutely no rude intent to my post at all and if you read it in a different voice in your head you will see that that is true . I suggest beautification does the same before making comments about my posts and my intentions or tone.

Right .. to your question. You can apply lace onto a layer of polish basecoat and then apply 2-3 coats of top coat once it has dried (but I think this is a very fiddly way to do it as you have to contstantly press the lace down for it to stick.

I prefer to use adhesive and activatior to stick the lace down onto a very thin basecoat of enhancement product using an orangewood stick to hold in place while doing it and then overlay with another thin layer of L&P.

Geeg, i'm sorry. I think i did just read it the wrong way.
I know u r only trying to help.xx
