I've had a feedback twice that's not good eg blistering on an eyebrow wax and an allergic reaction I know what in doing but just really building barriers with it grrrrrr

How do I move on without looking like a rabbit caught in headlight when they ask for waxing I try to put then off and have threading help

Hi :)

Could you re train? Maybe just a one day, 1-2-1 course, it may give you the confidence & guidance you need.

When & where did you train? Is it possible to go back with your worries?

I have done a course 1-2-1 & I can honestly say I feel confident to wax... Ok I am slower than others but thats to be expected. I get great comments from my clients. I really enjoy it, the only part I dont enjoy is lugging my kit around as I am mobile!

Xx

Hiw long have you been waxing for?

To be honest an allergic reaction could happen to any one of us. It dosen't mean that it is down to your individual waxing skills. For the blistering, make sure you test the consistency of your wax and your temperature. I always test a small patch on my clients wrist to make sure that it is okay for me to use.

As Steph as already said, you could re-train again to improve your skills. But to be honest, I was really nervous with waxing to begin with and at first I thought I just couldn't do it, but after practicing and practicing I would say that now I feel pretty confident with it. Just keep at it and don't give up :)

Confidence in King! Back in the day when I did all beauty including nails, I dreaded anyone asking for French because I was rubbish at it. I bluffed my way through by telling clients that French was sooooooo old fashioned and that one colour was the way to go. I realised then that nails was a skill that I didn't possess, so I decided to specialise is what I excelled at. Waxing!

So you can either become excellent at waxing and brows by practice or training, or give it up before you become a nervous wreck bless you.

I suggest that you take your time and section the brow. Make sure that you use a good wax and that the temperature is right. Then you'll feel more in control and hopefully overcome your fear.

This made me smile as I was the same with French and used the same line, oh no that is so old fashioned:biggrin:

I don't mind any of it now and I especially enjoy waxing. I took a few classes with Lori Nestore and loved it so decided early on to do it all, so to the OP just persevere with it .

Thanks for your reply I am a newbie to this trade and I'm very harsh in everything I do I'm a perfectionist I always test my temp and section but just zero confidence with it all. I had good compliments with my treading and waxing but had on negative that came from a third party not the client just need a confidence boost and a lot more practice just can't pick myself up :(
