I'm not sure if i imagined it or not but was there ever a thread on different types of lifting when using l&p and what the reasons could be? like based on where the lifting is and what the lifting looks like. I know im not explaining myself too well here, hopefully someone will get what im on about!:green:
Hi mary1981, I could be barking up the wrong tree:lol: but lifting is "lifting" - separation between the enhancement and the nail plate.
I hope this is what you are searching for:
Lifting can happen in many ways for example:
**zone 3 (cuticle area) lifting - so common, this is due to either insufficient prep, not leaving a tiny free margin, product applied to thick, improper product contact, incorrect mix ratio
**zone 2 - Centre Pocket Lifting - (an encased bubble of lifted product), this is due to incorrect mix ratio - avoid using product too wet as the excessive shrinkage causes product to pull away from the nail plate and improper preparation of the natural nail.
Where there is a crack the product can also lift around the cracked area
**zone 1 - Curling - the natural nail is curling/pulling away from the overlay. - this is due to incorrect mix ratio, excessive impact on the tip of the nails, damaged or weakened natural nail plate and/or a dry and brittle natural nail.
Trust this helps
