Recommendations after a facial

After you do a facial do you give the client a sheet with the products you recommend for them and aftercare advice? What else do you include?

Hi

I always do a skin consultation before the first treatment and find out what they use already, how long they have used it, if use SPF, what they don't like about their skin, if they have had facials before...... you get my drift anyway. I find this opens the client up and you can see then what products during the facial you can home in on, I have produced my own sheet with recommendations which is filled in an individual basis and given to them. I also give after care sheets for Microderm and Facial peels at consulation so there is no reason for them to complain in future!

Yes we do,its called a prescription and lists all the products we used during the facial.You can explain how to use each product and how often as well on this sheet,it has a carbon copy so one sheet is kept with the clients record card and the other is given to the client.As for aftercare advice I generally tell them verbally but this can be included on the sheet.I do like the idea of a prescription as if a client goes away and decides she really likes how her skin feels she can easily see what has been used and pick and choose some of the products that we have used without confusion.HTH
