Hi calling all alternative theraphist

I am quailified in reiki, so just after some advice as I can't remember the answer. One of my clients son has had cancer and is having radoitherphy and just can't remeber if it is ok to do reiki or not.:eek:

Any advice greatly received

My books upstair but Im sure you can. I think it helps with the fluid retention and can counter act any negative effects of the chemo.


I will double check tho.

ooppsss you said radiotherapy not chemotherapy.

Will need to check . A quick google says yes

If in doubt, offer reiki.
Reiki can not harm you, or the person you are channelling to, regardless of the problems they have - if the person does not need the reiki, they will not absorb it.
Personally I think reiki would be incredibly beneficial to this client - if not physically, then mentally and emotionally, to help them deal with the incredible stress & confliciting emotions they must be going through. You could always concentrate on helping them mentally/emotionally if you were worried about treating them for the physical aspects of the problem.
