Hi all

Just a question for all you out that do false lashes. What can I use to remove them as a regular client of mine has had them done somewhere else as I don't do them, she has been in today and does not like them as they are to long. She says she fills like a drag queen. She is having a weekend away with hubby which is the reason she got them done.

Thanks in advance

Kirsty

It is a special solution that is made to break down the adhesive that was used,
it is called debonder,
i would advise her to go back to where she had them fitted as they will have the debonder that will work with that system and they should remove them for free if she is not happy with them, hth

Hi Loubylou

Did advice these but she said she does not want to go back to them. She did get told not to use a oil base eye make up remover so could I use this to remove them. Sorry maybe sounding thick nlow but its ages since I have done them so can't remember much about them.
Thanks

I would advise the client to go back to where she had them because the correct remover is needed to remove the adhesive that was used.

The risk is if you were to do them using an incompatible remover her natural eyelashes may came out.

Similarly if her extensions were not done properly, too much adhesive was used then you will have difficulty removing the extensions and may cause natural lashes to come out.

An oil based make up remover would break down the bond but it would do so over a length of time not immediately,
if you try to remove them with out the correct product you will for sure end up removing a lot of her natural lashes,

the debonder is applied with micro brushes from base to tip of each extension and left for a couple of minutes,
then you go back with the micro brushes and the extension just slides off the natural lash very easily causing no damage,
your only options are (as she does not want to go back)

1) do you have a friend close by who does lash extensions that could lend you some debonder.

2) refer her to another salon that does lashes for them to remove correctly.

3) buy some debonder from a lash company so you can remove them, don't get it from the local Sally's or similar as it is not strong enough to remove the adhesives we use,
