Hi guys

If a slon was to take on a self employed person on a rent a chair/commision basis, obviously they would have there own clientel however what happens with new clients.

The reson being im hoping to open a salon in the next few weeks and an ex work collegue of mine has approched me and asked if she could rent a chair or do commision only?

I was thinking last night, ive just moved back to the area where my new salon will be and i need to build my clientel back up (although i still have a few clients back already) would it be fair for me to say new clients come to me first and if i have no space they would come to you. She says with her existing clients she would have enough to cover her costs etc as she only wants to work part time etc?

Hope someone can help

Mx

Hmm. I'm skeptical. I only do one chair rent, and she has her clients already. I think all new salon clients would have to go to you. If she only has enough clients to cover costs, what would be the point of her working?

I can't see how you can have two businesses fighting for the same work. Either take on a self employed person who, only, offers different services or take them on as an employee.
