I'm about to rent out a beauty room within my salon , where I already have public liability/ contents/ buildings/ treatment insurance in place to cover myself and 2 employed staff.
My insurance company say that the renter (who already has treatment & public liablity cover) needs to be covered by my current insurer or we need to both be covered by an alternative insurer, as she will be running her own separate business. But I can't understand why they don't seem to accept her insurance? The only thing I can think of is that she might not be covered by my public liability insurance in case of her having an accident.
It's flipping confusing.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Or insurance companies they would recommend if that's permitted on here?

You may be right. Also not all insurance companies understand the chair/room renter model. The NHF recommend Coversure so they may be worth a go?

Thanks Salonfrog, I will look into Coversure.
