Advice please on procedure for repairing a chip in a coloured gel nno.
Used a soak off gel - one layer clear, two colour, top coat clear plus gloss to strengthen a clients weak natural nails which had a habit of splitting either side of the stress area (across the nail bed). Unfortunately, I tried to get away without raising the apex properly as the client had an extremely high natural apex to begin with. Her natural nail has flexed and caused a piece of the gel to crack away at the free edge of one of her nails - down to bare nail.
How should I tackle the repair. Should I soak off and start again. Or could I blend the gel flush around the crack and cover over.
Obviously, whatever happens I am going to have to raise the apex using clear to prevent it happening again. Any ideas how to do this without making the nail look like a claw? She has very long narrow nail beds with extremely steep sidewalls and a naturally high apex.
Thanks
