Hi there
im having problems with my rockstar finger nails, not toes just fingers, odd!

the top coat (I apply two) seems to start chipping and peeling off after a day

and the whole free edge of one my rockstar nails just peeled right off.

I do not have this problem when doing normal gelish just rockstars

any ideas what im doing wrong?

i do this:

remove the cuticle, buff, dehydrate the nail
foundation
cure
thin colour
add glitter
cure
top coat
cure
top coat
cure
wipe off.

any ideas?

cure your colour coat first and then add glitter to the tacky layer and really scrub it in so that its flat as possible then add a top coat and cure then you should only need 1 top coat xx

I agree cure your colour coat first before adding glitter, otherwise it may not fully cure through the glitter. x

so a normal layer then of colour not too thin?

i find i need two because its still quite gritty after just one

My service is

Base coat - cure
Colour coat - cure
Apply glitter
Layer over zillionaire - cure
Top coat - cure

I add the zillionaire after the glitter as it seals it in and I don't have to use 2 coats of topcoats or 2 bottles so saves money for me, most that i have spoke to Either use a clear colour or extra coat of topcoat X x

i am a bit confused as to how i would go about pushing the glitter into the cured layer of colour

do you have to cure it again or straight on with the top coat? xx
