A question for Geeks that wax a lot:
Do you find that rosin allergy is very common?
What are the typical symptoms of rosin allergy?
Would doing a test patch make sense?
I use PR Blue (Euroblonde)- rosin wax.
I also have PR Crystalline- rosin free but I find that Blue gives me better results (removes all hair better)
I fell in love with Lycon Lycotec white soft wax for arms etc. Do you know if it's rosin free?
I'm pretty sure that Lycon Lycojet waxes are rosin free...?
On that note, I have a super sensitive client. I've been waxing her brows/lip for the last 3 months.
I used Lycon Lycojet on her and she got very pink in about 20 min with very light swelling almost. She says it's normal and that it lasts about 4 hrs. She tells me that when she got waxed at other places she was very red and her skin was throbbing (!!)
I applied hydrocortisone and Benadryl cream.
The time before I used PR Blue and I swear she might have been red but it was t as bad.
I looked at the skin and it definatelly the skin doesn't look grazed etc.
Do you think it could be rosin allergy or just her reaction to the hair removal
Her hair is not even coarse, quite fine actually.
I'm puzzled.
