Hello again,

Everytime I have used the sanding block on a client (well family or friends) they always asks what this is used for and I say to take the shine off of your natural nail. Can I expand my answer anymore.

Also when I took my course I told my tutor I was going to take the manicure and pedicure course, she said there is no need to as all you need to do is the nail prep and then use the 3way block to add shine then cuticle oil. So what im stuck on is the fact that if we use the sanding block to take off shine why would we use the 3way block to just add it again.

Sorry I have looked through my manual that I was given, but there is nothing in ther to answer my question.

Thanks

You take the shine of the nail prior to enhancement service....pretty much the last step in your prep. Removing the shine, removes the last traces of nail surface oils.

When you do a natural nail manicure you would not want to take of the shine. But you can refine the manicure by oil buffing and shining the nail...

I think what your tutor mean is, that if you can thoroughly prep a nail, you can do a manicure.
