or have you got a dunelm mill near u?

would you be able to help me :

i am in process of setting a childrens pamper party business up

encorporating dance and makeovers into themed parties for 4- 12 yr olds

but struggling with conflicting advice about disclaimer forms and patch tests etc!!!

i am only using high quality makeup and facepaints (water based)

but struggling to find out from insurers if need a disclaimer etc

please would you be able to help me?!

Also what would a covering letter from the insurance state?

Would you advise when giving a receipt to get the childrens party parent a disclaimer form to sign to say they hav checked with all parents and none of the children have skin allergies or asthma etc

feel free to ask me anything :)

why not go along to your local fabric shop and see what they have? then, if you cant sew ask them for a seamstresses contact details or, ask a friend or family member to put a hem on for you?

I do a lot of bridal fairs and school fairs, to be honest i dont bother hemming mine, they get wrecked and so i use a few times and bin them.

Hi Becky,

Please read this tread, especially post #11 http://www.salongeek.com/skin-geek/105898-skin-patch-test.html Basically you have to do a patch test, when one is necessary. Disclaimers are not normally recognised in court and will leave you uninsured:eek:

I also rate dunelm mill - mine are black and the make up looks great against it, they go in the washing machine and don't always need ironing! think they were £15 each Welcome - Dunelm Mill! you may be able to buy online

I say Dunelm too - I got a lovely end of roll piece of black damask material and everyone always comments on it!
