Hi Everyone

This is my first post and i only qualified in June so im a newbie. I need help and any advice you have to offer on pamper evenings. A teacher at my local high school said that i should appraoch the school about doing a pamper night for teachers and staff only. But she said i would need to put something in writing so she could run it by the her boss.

She suggested i sell tickets for a few pounds and use that money to put on a small spread of nibbles and stuff then charge for treatments.
I do a mixture of beauty and holistic treatments and have friends that i could rope into doing treatments as well.

So what kind of things should i include? What do you think i should charge and how long should treatments last?
All advice welcome.

Thanks x

Sounds like a good idea,
you need to keep each treatment to around 15 Min's, this way everyone will get a chance for a treatment and it gives you plenty of revenue,
file & polish to fingers or toes
eye brow shaping
eye lash tinting
mini facials
it all depends on what treatments you do and what equipment you can be bothered to take with you hth

hi i was a newbie to all the pamper evening idea on tuesday as i only do indian head massage foot massage and i make alll my own products. what i did was take all my stuff plus foot spa charged people a fiver for a foot massage and a 7.50 for a indian head well i had 9 people turn up 3 had a foot massage and then i sold mostly all my products i.e body scrubs, salts , cream i used on there feet. this is where i made my money as people who didn,t have any treatments where listening to the others on about how soft there foot was. great sucess never went near anyones head couldn't belive it and i have another one booked for end of november this is appartly the golden rule is to get a couple of booking of the party and i also go 9 £5 baskets order for xmas.

don't know if this helps you out. but if you have products to sell take them with you and talk though what the benefits of them are

Hi loubylo

Over the years of me being qualified, ive aslo done pamper evenings and charity events.

as the above thread keep it to 15 mins per person.

Make a list of which treatments you do and which are the easiest to do in the 15 mins,

I did intro to reflexology, mini facials, mini makeovers hand/arm massage.

Take anything like promotional things. ie.. products that you could sell
leaflets, flyers, price lists anything that will promote who you are, get yourself known.

i did a charity avent a couple of weeks ago sold a bit of retail products and got 5 bookings so did,nt do to bad really.

Another thing ive done is have make-up demo,s

Make-up lessons usually go down well as i find the younger generation really get interested and if you let them interact you get a better response instead of just talking to them let them help you..

but again it depends in what you are qualified in and what you feel confident in offering on the night.

Hope this helps and good luck:)

Pamper evening are a good idea. They are exciting but hard work. Remember it would only be you who would be doing the treatments.

Not sure about charging them for the night, but more charging them for the treatments.

I've done a couple of pamper parties where I did 15 minute treatments for £7-10 each.

Hand massage
Foot massage
Neck/head massage
File and polish springs to mind.
