Hi i done these sculpt nails today please tell me what you think and what improvements can be made thank you:)

they look good.
they've got a nice finish to them and they look nice and flush at the cuticle.the main things i can see is your whites dont look consistant and some of your smile lines look abit uneven and maybe take the side walls in abit.
the nail doesnt look bulky which is a very easy thing to do when your new at sculpting so well done for that.
great start.xx
i havent rated all the options as they dont all apply to your nails.you would get a better rating if you had only selected the ones that applied to your nails if that makes sense.xx

thanks tracy i appreciate your comments i will keep trying till i perfect them

Hi Shazbabe,
Well done on putting your work up for critique! : )
I agree with Tracey, I would say to practice your smilelines more, I used to get spare tips and practice practice practice. Its the only way to get better and then your not under pressure as your not 'practicing' on an actual person. Geeg (i think) did a great tutorial on smile lines. Also, the 1st finger is shorter and rounder than the rest. I would also take in the sidewalls a bit- what you are aiming for is a straight line coming down the sidewall, not a flaring out one.
But other than that, they are great. Your cuticle area looks great- nice and smooth, that is really important.
Well done, take care, Corrine xx

The main thing that needs improvement is your brush technique and you need to develop your 'eye' for beauty.

These sculpted nails look flat, and you can make a beautiful C curve with your product using the correct product placement and the right brush technique.

I do not agree that the surface finish is good ... it really isn't. You should be able to see your face in the surface and these are very scratched and dull.

You need to have a more consistent shape (which again is down to technique ... same for the smile lines).

Your side walls should be as straight as a ruler and it would've suited these nails and hands better to have tapered them a bit to look sleeker and slimmer.

Technique .... in order to make ten nails that look exactly the same, you have to make each nail in exactly the the same way (you need to work like a machine). You then have to finish them in exactly the same way. You need to develop your 'eye' so that you can see where you want to go and then get there using the techniques that will help. It looks to me as though you have not developed the techniques to get you where you want to go and you never will on your own.

Attend a sculpting class with an EXPERT who will show you how to do it with the techniques that work.

I admire your guts to have a go and put yourself up for a critique. Take my advice and if you are keen then don't take the slow coach ... get some expert help and you could change and improve the look of these probably after one class.
