Sculpting an Apex with Gel

I am curious to see what tips you all have for making a nice Apex with CND Brisa gel.... i am trying and its not workin out well! HELLLP!

If you haven't seen it already, you should have a look at Gigi's tutorial, she explains how to create an apex and then for a visual, you can look at the CND website and see it being done
