ok i been shown two different ways to do this, which way is better? I was shown to put form on, use small amount of white to butt up to nail and make a square tip, then add more white product on to it to put in your smile line then pull down remaining product and press it over the tip you already made. The other way is one big bead of white acrylic to make tip and smile line in one go, what do you do???

I personally use the one bead but if you find it easier to do 2 then that's ok too! Everyone has different ways of doing things and it is what you find the easiest really. As long as the nails look good, stay on and last with no lifting or discolouration then you are doing fine! :)

i primarily use and teach the first method.

i occasionally do it the second way too.

i find with the first method, students pick it up more easily because once the thin first layer has cured, then the second bead behaves much more in the way they are used to with tip and overlay application .

there is no 'proper' way. do it the way you feel the most comfortable with.

I also use and teach the first method but sometimes use the second if the tips are going to be short.

As said, no right or wrong just different strokes!

I PERSONALLY FIND THE FIRST METHOD GIVES ME THE FINISHED RESULT WITH VERY LITTLE FINISHING FILING ! Your application is so precise with the first method that there is next to no shaping to do.
