Shadows on coloured Gel

Hi there,

just having problems with my coloured gel application and shadows
Do you...?

1 - 1st layer clear gel
2 - builder layer.. shape & Matte
3 - Coloured gel - thinly applied (how many layers? 2-3?)
4 - Finishing gloss gel

Mine are just not up to scratch and 'I would like to see what you guys are doing different. The gel I am using is from the CND catalogue so its a high quality gel.. but I must bve doing something wrong cause mine look totally pants

I buff the nails to shape with a 180 and dust very carefully then wipe with scrubfresh.

I apply 2 coats of Brisa colour but not too thinly. If you try to do it like polish I find you don't get the coverage.

I did try 3 thinner coats but got too much thickness in zones 1 and 3 so now I stick to 2 coats and sort of 'float it over' ensuring that the edges are kept thin.

2 layers, one that I flash cure, and the second one that is more coloured, that I cure normally, knowing that the darker the longer it needs to cure
