Hi,

I was just wondering if primer, monomer and polymers go bad after a while even in an unopened state? How long does it take...?
If so how can you tell? is it the color etc...

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I feel I've read or seen somewhere that it's about 2 years.

I have recently just renewed my CND Nailfresh & CND Acid Free Primer & when the primer came through, it was a different colour than the one I had had sitting on my nail station for nigh on 2 years!

Don't know the answer to powders though....if they are unopened I cannot see why it would be a problem, assuming they had been stored correctly (which was obviously not the case for my primer, as I'm sure someone will tell me/us!)

Thx allready for the info. I am moste curious about the polymers aswell. The problem is i got some ezflow products from a girl that quited before i started and they haven,t been used before. The thing is...i just said thx but didn,t asked her how long she got them. so i thought i want to ask if there are any visible signs of the products being old. I would just use them to try it out on myself but if it,s old i am so not going to do that

Yellowing is the most obvious sign of an ageing product. Polymers can yellow so the pink would look peachy and the white would look 'yellowy', even before you used them.

I allready thought they looked suspicious in color...

I'll throw it all out then, not worth the trouble thinking about it actually

At least i learned something new...now i know how to spot something getting old. Not that i think i will ever come across it myself since I have to buy new products regularly.

Thx for all the help
