Hi all, I was reading through the thread about Konad nail plates and that you can use shellac but it looks a bit washed out. Could you use shellac as normal (base coat, 2 colour coats) then use normal polish and finish with a shellac top coat?

I've read that you shouldn't use normal varnish between shellac so that's why I'm asking.

Thanks everyone = )

Shellac doesn't stamp well but Vinylux does! Let the stamp dry then use UV polish top coat..

There's no problem using a nail polish on your plates for stamping on shellac, Gelish etc as it is such a thin amount and doesn't cover the whole nail, so the topcoat adheres to the colour coat fine, just remember to remove the inhibition/sticky layer before printing :)

I use Barry M polishes and vinylux

Thank you lovelies. Eek! In all excited to get in and play tomorrow now!

What colours would you advise and work best any pictures???? :) x
