Shellac-Missing hole?

Hi everyone! I'm a bit confused, a regular client of mine has just left after her two week infills. She is in love with shellac and has it on top of her acrylics every two weeks. She has just come back from a two week holiday in Portugal and this happened to her nails not every one just 4. I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me to what happened.

I have no idea really but could it have been she was using insect repellent containing Deet? That can effect Shellac although I'm guessing it would be on every one...
