Geeks,

some of you will know that i am opening my own salon. now the salon currently offers gels and acrylic (these treatments are main income earners currently for the salon)

i only do mani and pedi...i am going to employe a nail tech. but feel a bit lost has i know Nothing about nail enchancements, or the stock that is needed to do it.

so i am toying with the idea of doing a course.

i dont have a lot of time has i have 2 children and will be running my own business so what choices are out there for me?

can you recommend any course's, what about doing a long distance course and learning from home? are these any good.

do you have to have a NVQ to get insurance or will any diploma do

thanks inadvance
Danielle xx

Hi,

You don't necessarily need to have an NVQ to get insurance, but before embarking on any course, you should check with your insurers first that they will accept the qualification.

Guild Members can search for Guild accredited courses on the Beautyguild Training Directory.

Thanks Soda:hug:

and thanks to the guild for the information.

just been on the phone with Creative, and they have a foundation course starting soon which is only 15mins down the road! how cool is that!

i take it you will be able to obtain insurance with there course.

You would be able to get insurance with the Guild for a Creative certificate.
