Hello Everybody! Kamsi here! Happy Easter!
Quick questions! Does CND do the fibreglass or silk wrap system? I looked on S2 but did not see anything on wrap.
I have also heard that the fibreglass/silk system is the easiest to learn and that acrylic is the most difficult. Is this true?
I would like to train with CND Manicure/Pedicure and then on their fibreglass system if they have.
Thanks for your help!

i dont think that CND do the wrap system, i do silk wraps and use Star Nails products which i cannot fault. I have used this sytem for 6 years and still love it. I also do acrylic and have to disagree with what you have heard, silk is not the easiest system and acrylic is not the hardest, there is no major differnce between them and i am happy to do either, neither takes any longer or any more work.
I also find silk is better than fibreglass as you dont see the silk mesh and you can with fibreglass more often

Hi there,

Im not sure they do but I use NSI soft touch, its fab. The resin is really good to work with and they have a brush on activator which is ten times better than the spray:confused:

To be honest there is little to no difference in most of the wrap systems but some do have a builder resin which is worth having so look out for more than one resin in the system you choose.

Fiberglass NEVER has to show if it is applied correctly and silk is less strong than fiberglass and not as clear.

The nails pictured here I did with fiberglass and I think you'll agree you can't see any trace of it.

Wraps are definitely easier to learn how to do than L&P or Gels and require far less actual technique. I could teach a 12 year old how to do wraps. Saying that does not make it any less of a good system to use but you do have more limitations in the clients you service if you only use wraps. they are not as strong and do not have the lasting ability of L&P or gel. But they will get you started on your way and you will need to learn the other systems if you want to prosper.

Sweet Squared do not sell a wrap system for the very simple reason that there is not the market for wraps that there is for L&P or Gels.

Backscratchers is the original wrap system and is still an excellent product sold by Supernail Ltd. They are a 25 year old company and have a good reputation.

Hi Gigi

Who did you train with to do fiberglass if you don't mind me asking.
I also want to learn this as I think it would be good to be able to offer all techniques and its also something that isn't advertised round here.

Many thanks

I have just bought the OPI MicroWrap system and so far am very impressed with it. It includes a builder resin aswell which is useful.

I originally trained with Backscratchers.

And I have trained with several other systems since and then I designed the Fabric# system.
