Hi everyone

I am not a professional but i just wanted to know when should i start to use night cream, day creams and eye creams? I am 23 and want to prevent the signs of ageing rather than cure them but am i still to young?

I see in come ranges they only target 30+ and i hate getting facials done so please dont tell me to visit a salon and get advice from them. Yes, i think im the only one to hate them :)

I was looking into the clarins, no 7 or nivea visage range.

Any advice would be brilliant. Thanks for looking at my thread.

Janine!

Decleor have a range called Vitaroma that's aimed at 20 to 30 year olds wanting to prevent the first signs of ageing, which contains encapsulated bio-retinol as it's main ingredient alongside lemongrass, plant squalane, karite butter, clover isoflavones, honey extract, rosa rubiginosa, plum kernal plant oils, palm tocopherols & manuka milk.

It has a lovely light & fresh texture & is excellent at reducing the appearance of fine lines, brightening the complexion, hydrating the skin & enhancing it's protective functions.

As a night product something like Decleor's balm essential is ideal & gives the skin a fresh rested look first thing in the morning. However, if you prefer a lighter texture they do a lovely new regenerating night cream that helps maintain nourishment & hydration during the night hours & promote skin renewal (Aroma Night Regenerating Cream).

Now will probably want to hit me lol but you will need to go to a salon for them to look at your skin in order for you to get the best results from products available. Please dont use Nivea, you wont get good results from products that you can buy in boots etc.
You dont have to go for a facial. Salons that sell Dermalogica will give you a free face map and write down the products your skin needs.
With things like eye creams, it is important that you are using the right one as too much product can result in puffy eyes x

Out of the three ranges you have mentioned I would reccommend Clarins everytime !

You can have a consultation at one of the counters and take home some free samples to try first.

I say your never to young to start preventing the signs of ageing

Thanks for the replies.
Martin is there samples in the decleor range?

bombini i see you use dermalogica in your salon, would you not recommend them or would clarins be more suitable?

I would definetely reccommend Dermalogica. As Kylie said you can have a free face mapping analysis at pretty much any salon that stocks the range.

Dermalogica actually has an iphone app for face mapping, ive not tried it myself so not sure how good it is but might be worth a look !

I use a combination of Dermalogica & Decleor skincare as both ranges compliment my skin and keep the fine lines away :green:

would dermalogica be better than clarins? is the price range any different in both these ranges? i will look into getting a face mapping done.

Decleor do samples, but you'll have to find a salon or department store that sells the products to obtain them!

Bombini, can I ask why you would recommend Clarins when you use Decleor and Dermalogica?

Would depend on your skin type & concerns. You may prefer one range to the other once you have tried the samples. I think they are both have similar prices. Have fun with the face mapping :)

I am trained in Clarins. Although it has been a few years now so im not really uptodate with the products anymore but it is still an outstanding range imo. Also as per the original question the OP mentioned three ranges, Clarins is the only one I am familiar with hence my reply :green:

Am I right in thinking that in the beauty industry a 25 year olds skin is classed as mature?? Or somewhere near that age range, so now is as good a time as any to crack on with the skin care. :)
