Hello.

I am a mobile beauty therapist and I am putting together my pricelist.

For facials I will be using SkinTruth, to start with. Does anyone else use SkinTruth or know of someone who does, and if so, what is the charge of these facials and what do they include? It's just to give me a rough idea of what I could charge.

Thank you for your time.

Have you looked at using something like Eve Taylor or Moor Spa? They are, in my personal opinion, better quality products. And they don't have a minimum order so your costs are limited.

You need to research your locality for facial prices, what I can charge in Wolverhampton may be very different to your area.

Most people probably wouldnt use Skin truth as it is right at the bottom in terms of price. It tends to be what they use in colleges and was what my daughter had to use in her first year until they were allowed to use the Dermalogica.Quite a few of her class found they had reactions to various products in the range. If you havent yet purchased have a think about a range like Eve Taylor or Moor spa that are more active and have a good reputation and very well priced for professionals with no minimum order.

Thank you for your reply.

I realise that SkinTruth doesn't have a very good reputation, but at the moment I am just started out, so money is tight. I would just like to have facials on my price list to start with.

As far as I am aware, no one in my area uses SkinTruth. Most salons use Dermalogica.

I will definitely be looking into Eye Taylor and Moor Spa products.

I have read on a few posts that clients have had reactions to SkinTruth products. That makes me nervous.

Ive used Skintruth on my clients for the last 7 months, and not one of these clients have had any reactions what so ever.

Many of these clients have followed me from previous salons where they have invested serious cash on high end products and since changing over to Skintruth have given me really good feedback on their own use of it after buying from me.

There is so much negative feedback on here regarding skintruth, but the fact is you have to start somewhere.

With regards to people's skin reactions, I did a weeks training with Gatineau and all 7 of me and my collegues had skin breakouts and soreness from over exposure, so to me I would make an edcucated guess and say that whilst training at college your skin is constantly being tinkered with thus is likely to react.

Hope this gives you a different view point ?
