Slight grey tinge to white acrylic?!?!

Every now and then when I apply the white acrylic to the free edge it gets a grey tinge once Ive filed.
Is this due to adding a little extra white, too much white or something else.
Please help as it doesnt always happen and when it does it really annoys me and doesnt look good to the client.

its probably because you are using your white with a little too much monomer. using a drier mix ratio will usually sort it out.
