Does anyone know if it would affect the finished result if i soaked the nails before applying acrylic or gel enhancements. My last client had terrible cuticles, so it added on an extra 20 minutes to my prep, which i dont want again. So can i just soak the nails in warm water or will this make the product lift quickly as the nails will be soft. I used a spray solution but just could not shift that cuticle, so then nails were rubbish in the end.
(By the way, i did ask this question before, but i dont think i sent it off.)

It is not a good idea to have a wet manicure just before applying nail enhancments. Nails are porous and as you know (I hope) we need to dehydrate the nail plate before the application of product ... so it does not make any good sense to have them soaking prior to the enhancement service.

You want to see cuticle disappear? Try CND Cuticle Remover ... it is the dogs!!

Thanks pal. I am gonna have a look at that cuticle remover. I amy also get some of that scrubfresh that all the girlys go on about. I dont want another day like Sat. Just shows not everyone takes care of their nails.
Thanks. Laws.:)

I find its better to just remove the cuticle with cuticle remover, then after the enhancements are applied, use homecare to deal with the eponychium. AHA Eraser and solar oil work for me. And don't forget to explain to them about petroleum and lanolin in lotions and hair products. They're no good for enhancements
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think one could have a water manicure between maintenance appts.
