Hi, I recently attended a course on Thuya eyelash & brow tints and perms where we practised on each other - I looked great.... well better anyway! The next day I did a spray tan and now my eyebrows - the skin under them, looks like my kids have used a brown felt tip them on  I'm assuming this is a reaction with the spray solution??

It isn't too bad as I have a long fringe but obviously don't want this to happen to a client!

If I have a client wanting a tan and tint I never do the two on the same day. I will do the tan first but make sure I have very carefully covered the brows in petroleum jelly. I will then carry out the tint the following day. Have never had any problems this way xxx

This is what worries me - I was doing the spraying and it was the next day!

Always protect tinted brows with lots of vaseline if spray tanning and you will avoid this reaction, hth

I would tan someone first and then tint after. We have done it on the same day with no problems. As long as you protect the eyebrows as already has been said. If it's just a tint with no tweezing or waxing then i don't see any problem with doing it on the same day:)

The thing is here, if you do decide to do both on the same day and have used a barrier such as petroleum jelly then after a tan you will have to thoroughly remove this without wiping the tan off. Just think it makes sense to wait for the tan to develop xxx

It does help thanks, will add the question on to my spray tan record cards so I never forget to check!

This is a crucial factor...definitely no spray tan if waxed or tweezed eyebrows for between 24/48hrs dependant on the individual
