Hi

My friend has really sensitive skin and can get bad eczema, she has tried many off the shelf fake tans and they always bring her ezcema out

Can anyone recommend a spray tan solution for sensitive skin?

Thanks
Vicky

Hi - Eczema is one of the contraindications to spray ten so she shouldn't be allowed to have them done i'm afraid. L

It's only a contraindication if she has open wounds before the tan. Sorry, cant really recommend a solution? I'm sure someone else will though lol

Spray tan solutions and eczema are something to take a great deal of care about....most certainly if there are any signs of open wounds ,broken skin etc do not proceed.

If the condition is not active proceed with caution..generally things work out but just check and double check the entire body for any signs of irritated or broken skin.

On solutions,as we all know there is always the chance of a reaction and this is compounded when eczema is present...more so from the extreme condition it can cause if there is an adverse reaction.

You need to talk things through with this customer and most definatley do a patch test 24hrs before applying any solution .

In an idealistic world we would have said don't apply any spray tan solution to an individual with eczema however in the real world these individuals(bless em) want to try and live as normal a life as those more fortunate and I cant say I blame them for wanting to look good.

So proceed but proceed with care ,check and double check and take your time fully explaining things with your customer,do the tests and hopefully all will go well for both you as the therapist as well as the customer

I would be very careful with spraying a customer like this but as she is a friend you could have a go ,after a patch test, on say just her legs and see how she reacts.
Out of all i use and have used i would probably opt for the Tantrick original solutions as there is less guide colour which may be a problem as an additive, not a lot of perfume, probably the least out of any ive tried and thats a lot, and it is enriched with aloe vera etc.
If you don't use it now im sure you could get a sample if you ask Collin.
