Hi Guys!

I am currently looking at different courses to undertake and have done my research on different offers etc but i have come across one course for 'Cosmetic Tanning' which is using SUN products (could be fake bake or all the other solutions) but it is not sprayed on but manually applied.

Has anyone taken a course similar to this or heard if it is any good?

Any advise on the best spray tanning companies/starter offers would also be much appreciated!

There is so much out there but not sure which one to go with!

Thanks in advance :)

xx

From a client's point of view, a manual tan usually takes longer than a spray tan, is messier (the therapist is applying the tanning solution directly to your body using their hands rather than spraying you from a distance) - and, as it takes longer, is usually more expensive. In my experience, you also look a fair bit "muddier" immediately after a manual tan than you would do after a spray tan.

So I'd imagine that the majority of clients would prefer the speed, convenience and lower cost of a spray tan. Although some may prefer the "luxury" of the manual tan treatment.

Hey hun i trained with Nouvatan Spray tanning and the customer service is fab dawn & steve are lovely and very helpful.
The product however is something else! Fantastic! so glad i picked Nouvatan not an orange tinge in sight! like most of the others! lovely smell and you get a golden brown natural tan, They do training in lots of area's give them a call im sure they will be glad to help hun,Oh and the start-up kit they do is fab value for money!
I personally like spray tans less time consuming but im sure some would like the manual way as a pamper treatment too suppose its just personal choice x

I only offer manual tanning & do a fair few of them, mainly because there are loads of spray tanners round me & I'm the only one offering manual! Personally I feel neither is inherently "better", merely that they address the concerns of different clients. Perhaps it's best to decide who you're targetting & take into account the time & cost factor, how long the spray vs manual tan lasts etc to match method to client.
