Hi Geeks,

I know that large items like massage couch, nail station, heated booties etc are classed as capital equipment but i am a little confused what you include in your value of stock. Does it include everything else like products you use on clients, nail varnishes etc? Where does the consumable stuff like nail files, cotton pads, couch roll come under, are they stock items too? Also, do you just guess a figure because how do you work out how much all your nail files etc are worth?

Mmm little confused so any help and guidelines would be very helpful.

Products to be used on clients

My take on this is that anything you use on clients will be classed as a cost against materials, your equipment, couch etc will be capital equipment and for me stock is anything that I buy in to sell ie varnishes, hand lotions, facial stuff etc.

Hope this has helped, I am sure someone will add to this if I am wrong.
