Strange polish

One of my clients got a pedicure while on holiday in Dubai. I removed the polish last night and it went all funny. Like the base and top coat turned into a thin plastic film.

She said they just painted on polish. Any idea what they used?

Could have been a soak off gel such as Bio Sculpture or Calgel? Both of these systems go a rubbery texture when removed.

Thanks. It definitely wasn't Bio or Calgel. I used normal polish remover on a cotton pad and wiped. It went more like a cling film texture than rubbery. Plus, she didn't go in a lamp. I Shellac her all the time so she would have remembered the lamp.
